Il Frantoio a Mascelle è impiegato per frantumare sassi e detriti derivanti da cave, demolizioni e scavi ma rispetto al frantoio a martelli ha grandi vantaggi nella frantumazione di materiali ad alta usura (granito, sassi di fiume ecc).
È costituito da mascelle regolabili per modificare la granulometria del frantumato.
Si può avere nelle versioni diesel su carro cingolato o piedi fissi e versione elettrica su piedi fissi.
